The World Cup is one of the clearest examples of something we’ve always known at Lotas: voice work is global.

At the same time the tournament kicked off, another major development continued moving forward. New regulations governing cloned voices and AI-trained voice models remain on schedule and are expected to take effect this August. For voice actors, studios, and producers, that’s encouraging news.
The conversation around synthetic voice is no longer about whether it exists. It does. The focus now is creating clear standards around how it is used.
