For over 35 years, Jim Kennelly has specialized in finding the right voice for all kinds of media.
After graduating from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, Jim traveled microphone-in-hand with documentary crews to the world’s hot spots, covering political, social, and humanitarian events. Back in New York City, he worked his way up from engineer, to director, to producer, to owner of Lotas Productions, where he enjoys an international reputation for honest insight and positivity in the voiceover industry.
A staple of both the Big Apple and the ad game, Jim and Lotas Productions have learned to navigate and adapt to the rapid changes impacting the voiceover industry. From casting global & diverse voices to creating a synthetic voice division within Lotas, Jim has worked diligently to stay ahead of the curve and be a reliable business partner. Jim is a trusted, positive force in the industry, negotiating fair, equitable contracts for voice talents as we move through unprecedented technological leaps.

Outside the studio, Jim enjoyed a 20-year stint in the NY Show-Biz softball League, and was a youth sports coach and mentor. Today he works with those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, enjoys a bit of good poetry, and remains an avid college sports fan -
